ASHENDRI PICON is an actor, director, and writer. Recent theater credits include IS ANYONE WATCHING THIS? (The Tank, NYC) and GHOSTLY LITTLE PLAY (The New Box Theater, NYC). Ashendri can currently be seen in SLEEP THERAPY (Independent Short, NYC), POSHUN (Independent Short), STAIRWELL (FearPix Original, streaming on Roku TV-Horror).
Recent directing credits include SUNNY SIDE UP (New York Theater Summer Festival), COMPENDIUM OF DEATH (Brooklyn Art Haus), and HALLOWEEN DATE (The Barrow Group, NYC). Currently, she is directing a one-act play, WHAT WE DIDN’T SAY, for the Chain Winter One-Act Festival.
Born in Sri Lanka, raised in Canada, and now living in NYC, Ashendri has a background in marketing books and magazine editing. Life outside of work includes long, meandering walks and reading to her cat, Abraham.

Ashendri is directing What We Didn’t Say, a new play written by Hee-Young Shin, starring Hee-Young Shin & Andrew Dobbie.
The story is an intimate portrait of two people over the course of one winter. Moving through shifting moments in time, the play explores the quiet weight of what goes unspoken.
